My father served for 32 years in the RCAF, so I grew up around military airports, but only started flying and being a COPA Member in 1985. I have owned 8 aircraft from a Citabria to my current Piper PA28 180 and Cessna 340A. 3,300TT with over 2,000hrs as Multi IFR. I am currently the Flight Captain for COPA 57 and a member of three other Flying Clubs. Been going to COPA conventions for years and truly enjoy the personal contact with fellow aviators. Set up and hosted a COPA Booth at several airshows in Atlantic Canada in the past 4 years and along with the over 300 airports that I have landed at over the years, I bring a good understanding of GA within North America. Won the Governor General Cup Rally in 2015 and finished second in 2007.

While the board meetings are interesting and informative, I really enjoy getting out to the membership and sharing their aviation experience. I try to fly Air Cadets as often as possible and have lost count of the number of youth I have given a gift of flight. I hope that I have encouraged many of them to continue in their dreams of aviation.
