Everything you ever wanted to know about propellers and… needed to ask. Guest speaker Jean-Guy Bernier of BL Aviation was on site April 2 to start the 2022 aviation activities in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. He shared three hours of fact filled information on propellers.

Bernier is a well known name to Quebec aviators and indeed across Canada. He was knowledgeable and generous in sharing his expertise and adapting his answers to meet expert or newbie questions. The approximate 25 pilots present were treated to a most interesting conference.

APPH (Association de pilotes et propriétaires de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu) will also be hosting the COPA National Fly-In and Aviation Exhibition on June 23 to 25, 2022. And they are working hard to hold a most memorable event for pilots from across Canada.

Even with that on their to-do list, they are planning to introduce 250 kids to GA in May and hold their annual fly-in in August (during the International Balloon Festival). Conferences and Transport Canada certified seminars, as well as a group fly-out to a touristic destination, are also planned.

This very dynamic group has about 270 members and 80 per cent of them attend at least one activity per year. The group also publishes an online magazine « Journal de bord » with in-depth articles on aviation topics, as well as reporting past events or announcing coming ones.

Make sure you visit us in June !
