The Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBBA) has named Anthony Norejko as its president and CEO, effective August 20, 2018. In a recent press release, CBAA chair Peter Bing is quoted as saying Norejko “…has the industry knowledge, skill set, passion and high energy we were looking for. He is known as much for his entrepreneurial successes as he is for his business aviation expertise, and this is exactly what the association needs to drive itself – and take its members – to the next level.” 

After graduating from Okanagan College’s commercial aviation program in Kelowna, B.C. in 2000, Norejko worked as a flight instructor for Empire Air in London, Ont. He then hired on with Wasaya Airways as a line pilot before moving to Walmart in 2006, where he worked his way up to chief pilot and director of aviation before leaving in 2017, eventually to serve as vice-president of FirstService Residential, a property management company. In his spare time, Norejko founded two companies, CrewSked and MoneyUpstream Coaching, which deal with aviation and financial interests respectively.

Norejko joined the CBAA board in 2014. While serving as a director, he worked with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) on slot restrictions, helping to establish the CBAA/GTAA technical working group to address the issue. Outgoing interim president Rudy Toering is quoted as saying, “[Toering] represents the best of the next generation of business aviation professionals.”

Canada’s business aviation sector adds $12.1 billion to Canada’s economy. With over 400 members spread across Canada, the CBAA is the sector’s voice.
