The Extra NG developed by Extra Aircraft, headquartered in Hünxe, Germany, has received certification from the Federal Aviation Administration. Receiving its EASA certification in late 2019, the Extra NG is described by the company as its next generation of aerobatic aircraft.

Featuring an all-carbon rigid base frame, including a wing assembly with integrated tanks, the Extra NG is powered by a 315-horsepower, six-cylinder Lycoming AEIO-580 engine and an MT Propeller MTV-9 three-blade constant-speed prop.

With a wingspan of 27.2 feet (8.30 metres) and aircraft length 23.3 feet (7.11 metres), the Extra NG is rated for a max speed of 220 kts, max cruise speed of 202 kts, a maneuvering speed of 158 kts, and stall speed (at 2,094 lbs/950 kg) of 56 kts. It weighs 1,400 lbs typically equipped and empty, with a MTOW normally at the 2,094 lbs/950 kg mark; or 1,808/820 kg in MTOW acro category. Usable fuel is 51 gallons.

Southeast Aero Sales Inc., founded in 1992 in St. Augustine, Florida, is the North American distributor of Extra Aircraft models, including the NG, 330SC, 300LT and 300LX. The Extra 330SC is a single-seat, low-wing aerobatic monoplane with conventional (taildragger) landing gear.

The Extra 300LT is a two-seat, tandem arrangement, low wing aerobatic monoplane with conventional (taildragger) landing gear and glass panel with a full blown EFIS cockpit. The Extra 330LX is a two-seat, tandem arrangement, low wing aerobatic monoplane with conventional (taildragger) landing gear.
