A Manitoba COPA member is hoping his trip of a lifetime will help young people who have experienced tragedy in their lives to pursue an aviation career. Chris Unrau plans to fly his Cessna 210 across the Atlantic and planned to document the effort in a series of YouTube videos from the planning stages to the flight itself. Along the way, the project morphed into an effort to help others to dream and realize those dreams.

“The One Life Project is a YouTube video series that aims to document our journey and inspire others to take those first initial steps toward achieving their goals,” Unrau said. “The direction I would like to go would be ago start a foundation that would assist young people who have experienced the loss of a parent to pursue a career in aviation.”
