Nav Canada Fees to Rise

admincopa

Like pretty well anything related to aviation in the world today, Nav Canada too is finding it difficult to make ends meet. Having been declared an essential service, the not-for-profit private corporation has continued to provide essential air traffic services in the skies above Canada and beyond, albeit with some service reductions at little-used facilities.

As a result, Nav Canada proposes to raise service charges by an average of 29.5 percent effective September 1, 2020. Aircraft that fall within the category Nav Canada refers to as ‘recreational’ will see no increase until March 1, 2022, at which time the fee is proposed to be  increased from the current rate of $67.40 to $87.69.

The notice of revised service charges is appended below.
