Nav Canada announced this week in a Notice of Change that Ontario’s Oshawa airport (CYOO) will begin receive Terminal Area Forecast (TAF) reports beginning January 3, 2019 (Coordinated Universal Time). The move is a direct result of the closure of the Buttonville airport (CYKZ) tower and its Contract Weather Office (CWO) effective on the same date.

As was the case with Buttonville, the Oshawa CWO will be operational on a 24-hour basis, and will issue TAFs at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00 hours Zulu.
