Suspicious Fire Destroys Private Jet
admincopa
Authorities are looking for the public’s help for clues into the destruction by fire last Thursday (February 27) of a Dassault Falcon 50 private jet at Toronto’s Buttonville airport (CYKZ).
The evidence points to an obvious case of arson, considering that there was a hole cut in the chain link fence near where the aircraft was parked, there were fresh tracks left in the snow by a human, and a gasoline jerry can was found beneath the burned out remains of the aircraft.
The 1980-vintage Falcon had been parked at Buttonville for approximately four months. Public records on the FAA’s website indicate that the aircraft is registered to Adams Aviation Services Inc Trustee in Delaware. This U.S. state is often used to register aircraft as it has a favourable tax structure.
According to York Regional Police, the arson investigation has been turned over to the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office.
