Women in Aviation International (WAI), a U.S.-based organization but with international members, is reminding potential applicants that the deadline to apply for a 2021 scholarship is November 10, 2020.

WAI awarded 151 scholarships totalling U$831,354 in 2020. Since 1995, the not-for-profit organization has awarded more than U$13.2 million to deserving women to assist them in their pursuit of careers in the aviation or aerospace sectors.

WAI was founded in 1990, holding its first conference the same year. It boasts a membership of over 12,000 active members with seven percent from outside of the U.S. Membership includes a bi-monthly magazine and annual conferences.

Canadian chapters of WAI exist in Calgary, Alta., Winnipeg, Man., Toronto, London and Waterloo, Ont. and in Moose Jaw, Sask.
